9.6mm NSL Black is thicker and heavier, with better bending resistance.

8.5mm NFL Gold is thinner and lighter, with slightly weaker bending resistance.

If the outer fabric is double-sided silicone coated, the machine cannot seam seal on the smooth fabric, and glue needs to be used manually.
