1993
I started learning tent-related work in May 1993.
That year, I had just graduated from high school and was a little over 16 years old. I joined a Korean-owned company specializing in making tents. It was a large ODM-oriented production company called Qingdao Banpo, which was well-known in the industry.
I think many international brands with a history of tent products will have heard of this company. They moved from South Korea to China in 1991. Unfortunately, the company closed in 2013.

2000
I started working in the design and development room in 2000, where I met Davis, the founder of German Vaude, and their team Matillas and Pete; I also met Director Luo, the founder of DAC, Andy and his wife, the founders of Swiss brand Exped, Alex, the designer of The North Face, and Mr. Bente, the founder of Tentipi, etc.
Because of work, I met many bosses and designers of outdoor brands in BANPO. This stage was very helpful for my growth. I heard and saw many scenes. I saw Mr. Davis of Vaude lying on the carpet to measure the distance between the outer tent and the inner tent, and the president of Ogawa would wipe the floor of the workshop with his sleeves. These details are all imprinted in my mind...
At the same time, I learned about their understanding and working status of tents, outdoor and brands through contact with them. Most of them are both designers and avid outdoor enthusiasts. Their ideas have benefited me a lot. I still clearly remember that the designers of the Finnish brand Vango shared with me their scenes of camping in Northern Europe, which made me very yearning;

2011
In March 2011, I founded the brand TFStents in a small warehouse in Chenjia Village, Qingdao…
On March 22, 2011, we officially started the journey of establishing the brand. The first product was Pangolin 1 single tent and 2 double tent.

2013
For the first time, I hiked the route from Changpinggou to Bipenggou alone, using a Yoto double tent. For the first time, I felt the charm of the snow-capped mountains at the foot of Yaomeifeng....

2015
I met Tara through an online opportunity, and then was invited to participate in the Hong Kong Maker Camp in Hong Kong to promote our brand. I also met Mr. Lai, the owner of the Hong Kong New Jingwei Outdoor Store, and established a cooperative relationship. The new tent stargazer was displayed at the Hong Kong Maker Camp and was well received by the audience.

2016
We participated in OffTheGrid, a famous lightweight market in Japan. Although we did not gain any business, we met many new friends and went camping in Kumotori Mountain in Japan for the first time. The campsite had a beautiful view of Mount Fuji.

2017
We continued to participate in Japan's offthegrid market. This time we brought tents called Enran and Akatsuki. After the market, the exhibits were bought by a young Japanese man.

2018
At Tara’s suggestion, we established a sub-brand called Pretents and added some distinctive products to Pretents.

2019
In September 2019, we reached a cooperation intention with the Korean store Hellon, and they became our first Korean agent. In the same year, we also found agents in Japan and Taiwan, and began to officially enter the overseas market.

2020
We got to know the Japanese garage brand Neru design works, and discussed with Neru and decided to launch a new small spherical tent. We revised the version three times. Finally, at the end of 2021, after about two years of research, the tent was launched and named Cave. As the first Chinese brand to collaborate with Japan's M16, this is a memorable moment.

2023
We launched Soloist with the Japanese fashion brand Mountain Research.

2024
We also held offline activities of TFS Camping Day in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, South Korea, Taiwan and other places, which increased the communication and cohesion between the brand and users.
