One day in 2013, I received a message on my Sina Weibo account. The ID was Tara, an account from Hong Kong. He said he wanted to DIY a pyramid tent and asked me if I could sell him fabric. I said sure, how many meters do you need? He said he needed 15 meters. I asked him: Do you have experience in making tents? He said no, so I said: Then 15 meters is definitely not enough, because I know that designing a tent requires repeated trial and error, and it is impossible to succeed in one go...

I looked at his website and felt that he was an experienced outdoor player with good aesthetics. So I said: I will send you the fabric first, you can check whether the quality is what you want, and pay me if you are satisfied. He was a little surprised, why would you send the fabric without charging? Later, after receiving the fabric, he said: The quality of this fabric is superb, the best he has ever seen, and then he bought some mesh and paid for it together.

A few months later, I suddenly thought of him one day, and asked him if he had finished making the tent. He said no, and he felt that he had underestimated the production of a tent. Later, we talked a lot, and I known that he also had his own small brand.

In December, he brought a Japanese friend to visit me in Qingdao. We went camping in Laoshan together. While camping, he asked me if I wanted to promote the brand (TFS) to Hong Kong. He said, "I think your brand is not bad, but your concept is not suitable for the current Chinese market. You can try to go abroad." So I participated in the Hong Kong outdoor market organized by them: Hong Kong Camp...

Later, through Tara's recommendation, we participated in the Japanese outdoor market Off The Grid in 2016. In the first few years of the OTG market, although many people liked our tents, very few people bought our products. However, the samples were always sold out. Of course, two Japanese people also expressed their desire to be agents for our brand, but after interviews, we found that they were not the people we were looking for.

It was not until 2019, the third year of participating in the market, that we met a brand that wanted to represent us. Sokit, a small shop located in Sakuradai, Nerima District, Japan, became our first distributor of Presents, and the manager was nagashima.

Later, we signed formal general agents in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The general agent in Japan is called Teishin Company, and the manager is Maki Sugi. They played a positive role in our growth.

Through the joint efforts of dealers and us, we have gained recognition from users in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, which also gave us the confidence to develop in a broader direction.
