Pretents for the Mountain in my Heart

Pretents is a sub-brand of TFS. The design concept is a lightweight 1-3 person tent for hiking and mountaineering. Bealock is relatively an exception. Because Pretents originally did not have a large tent, and the structure of the double-spire tent conforms to the concept of lightweight, so the Bealock product was developed.

Bealock uses double silicon 30D fabric because the elasticity of the fabric is needed to outline beautiful lines;

All Pretents products are made of lightweight fabrics produced in South Korea and Taiwan. According to the balance of "structure" and "function" and "weight" of the style, 10D, 15D or 30D nylon 6 or nylon 66 double-sided silicon-coated fabrics are used respectively;

The double-sided silicon-coated fabric imported from South Korea has two characteristics. The first is that it still maintains a relatively strong tear resistance after being damaged. The second is that the high-quality silicone oil on the surface of the fabric forms a water-repellent effect like a lotus leaf;

The fabric feels very soft because the fabric is very light and thin , and they don't have good sun protection, so they are not very suitable for ordinary summer leisure
camping. In most cases, they are more suitable for lightweight tents for mountaineering or for winter camping;

Because the double-sided silicone-coated fabrics made in South Korea are more expensive and the fabrics are very smooth, they have high requirements for the sewing skills. And because the fabric itself cannot be pasted with waterproof tape like Pu coating, most brand products except the German brand Vaude need to be waterproofed by hand. For the same reasons mentioned above, most brands that use double-sided silicone-coated fabrics are from Northern Europe;
